What kind of photography do you do?

I’m a big fan of family and maternity sessions—they’ve totally stolen my heart—but that doesn’t mean that’s all I do! Couples, engagements, even solo portraits? Yep, I’m all in. My style leans very much into lifestyle photography, which basically means I’m here to capture your story as it unfolds. Think less “pose like a statue” and more “let’s make this feel like real life, but prettier.”

The one thing I don’t offer is newborn photography. That world requires an incredible amount of training, safety knowledge, and skill, and I have so much admiration for the photographers who dedicate themselves to it. For now, I’ll happily stick to scrolling through all the sweet baby photos online while cheering on the pros who make that magic soon.

Okay, but like... I am/We are super awkward and unphotogenic!! How can you help us?

Here’s the thing… none of us are models. And honestly? That’s the best part! I want you to bring all your quirks, giggles, and weird little family habits because that’s where the magic lives. My job as a lifestyle photographer isn’t to mold you into stiff, picture-perfect poses—it’s to catch the real, messy, beautiful you.

Sure, I’ll guide you a bit (and probably say something completely random to get you laughing), but I’m not here to choreograph every move. Sometimes I’ll tell you to smile, sometimes I’ll say “don’t even think about it,” and yes, I might scoot way into your personal bubble to snag those sweet, in-between details. Think of it less like a photoshoot and more like we’re hanging out while I happen to have a camera in my hand. I want you moving naturally, having fun, and walking away thinking, “Wait… that didn’t even feel awkward!”

I don't even know where to begin with clothes. Can you help me?

BAbsolutely! Outfits can take your photos from “cute” to “holy wow, frame that immediately.” That said, I know the struggle—buying a bunch of clothes just for one session and then watching them collect dust in the closet. Not vibing with my closet or the incentive thing? Totally fine. I’ll still help you put looks together—color combos, patterns, textures, all that good stuff. What if we have kids participating and they just aren't having it?

Let’s be real—at some point during your session, your kiddo is probably going to get cranky, demand a snack, or just straight-up melt into a puddle of feelings. Totally normal, totally fine. When that happens, we’ll pause for a cuddle break or sneak in a silly little game to reset. I’ve got a few tricks tucked away for just these moments, so no stressing on your end.

And if your little one decides running laps is the activity of the day? We roll with it. Honestly, those fits, goofy faces, snack breaks, and even the occasional snot bubble—that’s the real life stuff. And that’s exactly what makes your photos feel like your family.

How long do your sessions last? 

Here’s the deal—I don’t put time limits on my sessions. Nope. Not gonna do it. I only book one sunrise and one sunset shoot a day so that whole chunk of morning or evening is yours. No rushing, no “we’ve only got 10 minutes left,” none of that nonsense.

When there’s a ticking clock, everyone gets tense, and suddenly it feels like a race instead of a memory. I’d much rather let things unfold naturally—whether that takes an hour, two, or right up until the sun waves goodbye. The whole point is to slow down, breathe, and just be with your people. I’ll handle the rest.

Where do you have your sessions?

No studio here—you’ll find me out in the wild most of the time, chasing light and soaking up nature. While I totally admire in-studio work, it just doesn’t vibe with my lifestyle approach. Studios can feel a little too posed and boxed-in, and I’m all about capturing life as it actually unfolds.

That said, I’m always scouting new spots, so whatever scenery you’re dreaming up—golden fields, cozy woods, lakeside magic—I probably have a location in mind. And if not? Then guess what… adventure time! We’ll go exploring together to find that perfect backdrop for your story.

How many images will I see in my session gallery?

Confession time: I take a lot of photos—like, “what if this is the last time I ever hold a camera?” levels of a lot. But just because I click the shutter a million times doesn’t mean every single shot makes the cut. I carefully cull and proof everything so you only get the very best of the bunch.

On average, a full gallery ends up being about 40–60 images. I care way more about delivering quality over just handing you a giant pile of near-duplicates. You deserve the magic, not the meh.

How long after our session will my gallery be ready?

Turnaround time can vary a bit depending on the season and how full my calendar is, but I’ll always be upfront with you about where things stand. On average, you can expect your gallery within about 14–21 days after your session.

Need your photos faster? I do offer a $75 rush option that guarantees you’ll have your images in hand within 4 business days. Think of it as the photography equivalent of skipping the line at your favorite coffee shop.

What if we love the images in our proof gallery and want to buy more!?

While all my packages come with printing rights, I can’t promise that Walmart, CVS, or Walgreens will do your photos justice. But my lab? I can guarantee your prints will look amazing, with colors that pop and details that make you smile every time you see them.

What if the weather isn't looking great the day of our session?

Ah, the joys of shooting in nature—we’re basically at Mother Nature’s whim! If I had a magic switch for perfect weather, trust me, I’d be flipping it non-stop. Can you imagine the world where clouds, sun, and golden hour all just line up perfectly? A girl can dream.

Here’s the game plan: we roll with whatever comes our way. Sometimes those dramatic, moody clouds turn out to be chef’s kiss perfect. If it looks like a full-on storm though, no worries—we’ll team up to find a solution, even if that means rescheduling. Retainer fees aren’t refundable, but all your funds go straight to your new date.
